Trust nothing of TV
As a student of media and its inherent perception influences, I can tell you, simple editing and a clever propaganda campaign can change the way you feel about what is depicted. That is why you must think for yourself, and ask a lot of questions if something doesn't add up. You don't really understand how few independent thoughts you really have--most of them follow the programmed crowd. Even I fall prey to it sometimes. Learn to think of six alternate possibilities other than the ones you're told to believe before breakfast. Trust very little what television and even the internet tells you to think is important. If you really understood how you were being manipulated, you would be furious, but, then, you might also understand the importance of meditation and compassion to transcend the fear vibration.
